Do chickens throw up?

    My golden comet chickens are about 6 weeks old and a few days ago my chick Holly was walking around the yard and i turned around to see that she was throwing up is that normal?[​IMG]

    Good Question!!

    I was wondering the same thing! Not so much because any of mine have (that I've noticed anyways) but its something to be aware of for the future!

    If mine drink too much water, I notice the excess dribbles out of their mouth and if they bend over while they're doing it, it looks like they're vomiting. And if you pick them up when their crop is full of water, you're going to get soaked. [​IMG]

    Please anyone who reads my postings about family understand I just make these jokes to get a laugh.

    I love my mother in law. (she's dead so I doubt it hurts her feelings and besides she's not a member of this forum. Please don't tell her what I said).

    My chickens throw up water if they drink a whole lot! Tip: Don't ever hold a chicken that has just drank abunch of water! BAD IDEA!
