I came back from church and breakfast this morning to see a chick that looked like it was pasting so I used a wet cloth and a trickle of warm water to clean her off. It wasn't pasted bad but I kept on whiping and getting more and more poop. It was as if the chicks vent was bulging but couldnt push the little chicken turd out. What should I do? I had read that molasses is a bit of a laxative. I mixed some maybe a little more then a table spoon to a half gallon so that it was barely brown in the dropper and gave her a few drops. Should I give her more? Could the electrolyte I give them make them constipated? (I heard it could in humans) Sorry if it sounds like a stupid question...... but I am about as new as you can get to the whole chicken thing.
