Standard size is a real cool thought though, hmmm. Sounds like a project for someone, hint, hint! Not me, I have my hands full already!!!!
can you bread bantam with standard size? I dont know about the miniture chickens....I think the d'Uccle are some of the prettiest breed ever....but I dont think those tiny little chickens would last around here. ~Tiff~
Yes, you can breed bantams with standards. Usually you use a bantam male to a standard female so that she won't be injured. Try going with a feather-footed breed. Possibly find a Salmon Faverolle? They have the bearding, feathered legs and single comb already. Then just breed it to fit the D'Uccle standard.
