Do grown hens talk as much as babies?

    Grown hens talk so much I want to put a sock in it sometimes, you just wait till they start laying it sounds like their partying in the nest boxes.

    Each individual bird probably makes their own noises...once you get to know the personality, you will learn what each sound means. My sebrights made a "purring" sound. There is a whole "chicken language" out there...its really amazing and so much fun to hear all of their sounds!!!
