I know I have one roo. He’s crowing. But are the other calico and the darker buff Roos, too? I am going to be so bummed if I have one pullet, especially since she looks a bit like she may be a barnyard mix.
That's what I was thinking. Three roos to one hen. I have a great start on my flock. :-(
Oh, well. I'm keeping the one calico, but I definitely don't need three roos for two total hens. (I have an older partridge cochin hen.)
I don't know much about the breed myself but looks like yep 3 cockerels and 1 pullet. age would help also
one thing you can do is put them in a bachelor pad away from the hens so they don't start fighting as their teenage hormones kick in and as they mature see which one your hens seem to like best, my favorite baby roo named baby and ended up when he matured I didn't like him to well and his name now due to way he acts isn't mentionable lol
