Ok....Just 4 days ago I bought a trio. 2 hens and a Tom. This is my 1st time owning turkeys. The Tom is a Bronze, 1 hen in bronze and we have 1 black Spanish. "Teresa" (the black spanish) is now acting like a Tom. When the large Tom puffs out so does Teresa? Is she just imitating Tom or is she a Tom? Unpuffed she looks just like a hen with no extra red hanging from her throat like Tom has.

Thanks!

My hens will now and then strut like a Tom. If they don't have a waddle like the for sure Tom and they're the same age, it's probably a hen.

hens will do it, especially in new setting or around new pen mates to establish dominace, like the other post said, if she doesnt have a large wattle or long snood hanging off her beak, you have a hen
