Do I have pullets, or Uh-Oh's - VERY PIC HEAVY!!!

Ok, my inexperience says they are pullets, but of course, that may be wishful thinking.

Chick 1 is my Partridge Cochin,the one I'm most worried is a roo:

Chick 2 is my Blue or Black Cochin:

I'm in the same boat. This is all new to me. How old do they have to be to determine rooster characteristics, and what are they?
