Do marans lose moisture faster than other breeds?

    I have my other eggs in an incubator also and they have smaller air cells then my Marans and my Marans are one day behind the others

    Most people believe they loose it slower due to the thick shells.

    are they fresh eggs? its probably a matter of age of the egg when set.

    Good point Sally. Yes my own barnyard mix were fresh and the marans eggs were shipped.

    This is day 12 does it look like I need to drop hunidity? I have had it between 25-45% dry hatching [​IMG]
