Do most of you prefer hatching in egg cartons?

    Or those little finger thingies? I have mine in styrofoam egg cartons (which are really just rings around the eggs as much as I cut off them).

    Or do you prefer to just lay them on the rack 'bare'?

    I prefer letting them lie down. It feels more natural that way. If they were under a hen they'd have been lying down.

    i prefer to let them lay down. that way they can move around more trying to get out of their shell.

    I also lay mine down on their sides, but as soon as a chick hatches, it goes in a little pen made of chicken wire inside the incubator so that it can't knock the other eggs around. I hear many positive results with egg cartons too though, so whatever you decide.

    HEY MY EGG SHOULD HATCH TOMORROW WHAT DO I DO I TOOK IT OUT OF INCUBATER I CANDLED IT AND THE AIR CELL WAS BIG THEN ABOVE IT WAS A YELLOW SURRONDING THEN ABOVE THAT WAS THE BLACK SPOT WITCH I THINK WAS WHITCH[​IMG] CHICK
