Do silkies lay much in the fall and winter? Do they go broddy in the winter season? Have my first silkies and just wondering. Some are about old enough to lay I think.

I know this sounds crazy, but my silkies lay more in the winter than they do in the spring/summer. They go broody anytime of the year. (I have four broodies now!) [IMG]

Thanks so much for your response. I can't wait for my silkies to lay and hatch babies.

I have a Silkie that is about a year old and she quit laying about 2 months ago.
    Any Ideas as to why?

Everyone else is laying just fine.
