Do Silkies Remind you of Tribbles- Am I the only one who thinks so?

Has the thought every crossed your mind that Silkies make you think of tribbles? Or am I the only one?

Well if they are, we need to know what happened to make them take over the ship that way....if you remember the episode, they were falling out of vents in the ship everywhere. That's one brooooody tribble.
