I have an opportunity to trade two of my runner ducks for these two tomorrow but am not sure if they are pure Muscovy. She said her ducks all free range but the other ducks stay down at the pond and the two Muscovy ducks she has hang up by the house. What do you think? Any guesses on gender?

How old are they? Are they about the same size? Do you have any pics showing their legs?

They are both VERY pretty 'Scovies

They look like Purebred Muscovies to me

The Blue one looks like it could be a hen, it also looks smaller than the black one so you may have a pair right there! They'll make some gorgeous babies later on.

I noticed(with mine anyway) that the boys take longer the "shed" the baby fluff on their heads than the females do.

They look like pure Muscovies to me, especially if you mean pure in terms of not being mules. I can't tell you if they're purebred show ducks or anything.

See how they do as a pair. They might not need any more. If you do decide to add some make sure they are girls. boys can get rough with each other.
