    I've never heard of a chicken getting their periods! [​IMG] But then again, we are still new to the chicken world! Only have had chickens for two years! Though I don't think bloody poo is good.... [​IMG]

    Bloody poo= cocci do they act sick? are you sure it is not shedding intestinal lining? It looks rose pink and kinda stringy.

    Bloody poops mean they need to be treated for cocci soon. Sulmet or Corid are commonly used. You can pick them up at any agricultural store. Treat the birds ASAP. Unchecked cocci can be deadly if left too long.

    it isn't cocci. it looks more like the intestinal lining shedding.
