Winter and spring. But my chickens are big and they overheat easily. I keep reading that chickens stop laying in winter but that hasn't been my experience!

My friend's chickens lay a ton of eggs in the summer and slow down a lot in the winter, but they don't get overheated because they're bred to be able to withstand hot summers. [IMG]

My girls lay fairly steady pretty much all of the time but I live in Florida. Except, they do slow down considerably while molting.
