Do you eat the soft shell eggs?

Well, we got our first soft shell egg today from a new layer. I opened it and the yolk and white look perfect. So those of you that get soft shelled eggs, do you eat them?

We got one the other day. I couldn't bring myself to eat it despite it being perfect looking. I've seen posts that say it's ok to eat them. We just couldn't do it. Maybe next time.

I don't eat them.
I don't have any info that they aren't just as good for you as a regular egg, just don't look very appealing to me.

No. I just can't get past the idea that things could permeate them more easily.

I feed 'em to the dog.

I do, if they're clean. I wouldn't eat one that was in the dirt or had poo on it.

I hard boiled the last one I got. I told my DH it was a soft boiled egg.

It was sure easy to peel!
