OMG, really? And what about silkie eggs? I've read that they hatch early too...or is that just a myth?

Do you still start lockdown at day 18 or earlier then?

I hatched my first 4 chicks last Wednesday...3 are silkies and they hatched on day 21. Guess the old saying is right...when the apple is ripe it will fall? Best of luck to you. I am anxious to try seramas...just haven't had any luck yet. Thought I had one last week. It made it to day 20...rocked and rolled and I could hear it chirp, but it died before it pipped. Made me so sad. Just wish I knew what I did wrong. I have read the serama is harder to hatch.
