    It looks like neither, actually, more like a cute little Easter Egger chick.

    I say you have a cute EE and possibly girl with that feathering! But thats not 100% guarantee. A cutie though! [​IMG]

    Araucanas are rumpless (no tail) and have tufts and NOT sold in feed stores. Ameraucanas have muffs and beards but must meet certain criteria to be one,,, but EEs are Ameraucana crosses and can contain other breeds but still lay green or blue eggs, and can have muff and beard. [​IMG]

    Unfortunately hatcheries and feed stores dont know what they are talking about. I have 5 alleged americauna from the feed store. I have excepted the fact that they are just easter eggers although they have muffs. Trust the people on here. They know what's up.

    The patterns look more like a quail to me, but it's too big, might be a cross or 'mutt'
