Do young cockerels make weird noises when they're young?

I have a three month old EE cockerel and has made odd noises from any chicken/chick I've heard. Of course he's my first roo so I wouldn't know.

Yes they are practicing their crowing. Mine is so cute. He cant crow worth a bean. But he tries really hard.

Does it sound like a somewhat deep gobbling sound?

I like the ones that sound like a chicken caught up in a rusty blender..

My young cockerel that started crowing yesterday sounds like a cat hacking up a hairball.

His older brother will be 5 months old soon. He still doesn't have it right.
