does a roosters vent pulsate?

Do cockerel chick vents pulsate? Is it a way to tell gender?
As far as I know, all chicks vents will pulsate a little, especially if you‘re prodding at them. And no, you cannot sex chicks that way. Actual vent sexing requires you to squeeze the vent so you can see the reproductive organs, and should only be done by a professional, as it can be dangerous to the little guys.

Oh my. I'm gonna guess yes they do. Gonna say guaranteed not an accurate way of sexing chicks.
Now to go out and have a chat with my birds. Should I tell them I'm sorry I've never paid this much attention to them to know or should I tell them they're welcome that I haven't?

Well, when I discovered one hen had lice (🤢) I checked my entire flock. Every single one of my 22 chickens - rooster, hens, cockerels and pullets - ALL winked their brown eyes at me. It was quite the experience! 😳🤣

So no, it's not gender specific, they all do it. And I hope I don't have to do that again. LOL
