Does anyone else have a pet that thinks a stuffed toy is their baby?

Charlie Girl had no interest in toys whatsoever. I don't know what the non-human did to her before I got her, but she absolutely refused to touch a toy. I tried multiple times with a variety of toys.
However, whenever we'd get a new kitten in the house she would carry them around. If she heard a kitten mewing on TV she'd go bonkers trying to find it. Puppies? Again, no interest just kittens. Also, when my chickens were babies she got ahold of one and tried to take it to her bed. She didn't hurt it, other than scaring the poor thing to near-death. She just wanted to mother it.

I had a beagle that had a pack man ball. Well it looked kind of like this

She would tuck it in carefully like she was nursing it. If the cat or another dog went near it,she'd act like a banny hen with chicks.

My mil used to have a cat that would suck on a teddy bear like she was a kitten. Only the one teddy they kept it put away don't know why they kept it at all

my uncle has a dog who thinks a stuffed frog is his momma... he has nursed on that toy since he was a pup(he is now 6 or 7) and if you ask him where his momma is he goes and gets it...

One time I found a bunch of kittens at my college. They didn't even have their eyes open yet. SO I brought them home in a box and stuck the box on the couch while I went to get stuff together to get them in another box and bottle feed them. Not giving two thoughts about my dog "investigating them", I came back into the living room to find that he took a 5 kittens out of the box and put them on the floor and was proceeding to clean them and huddle the together. He was so annoying though. I kept them in a box with a blanket over 2/3 of it and if I left the door open to where they were he would keep taking them out. He loved those kittens, as they got older he would make sure one didn't get to far away and would bring it back to the others.

My cat was 21 when she died about a decade ago, but she had had this stuffed mouse made out of multicolored fake fur that was filled with catnip for at least ten years that was her 'kitten!' She carried it around and preened it- it had lost all of its fur in the first 5 years, and was just the mesh backing for the fur- looked more like cross-stitch fabric by the time she died. She'd even talk to it!
