Does Anyone else have House chickens???

I have a little serama roo named Squeak Toy. He lives in the house and watches t.v. with me. I ordered him 2 pr. of diapers so this week he will be introduced to them.

Now I just keep him on a towel and have tissue and wet wipes handy.

He started out living in a dog crate in the laundry room. He now has a triple decker rabbit cage. The bottom is his living quarters and the next level has a platform where the food and water is kept. Top level is a platform where he sleeps. I have to help him sometimes when he goes from level to level.

Having chickens for years I did make pets of a few but not like this!

I tease my hubby that I am getting a cute little handbag (with chicken motif) for him to go places with me. Paris Hilton and her little doggy has nothing on me..Ha Ha

Excuse the mess on the table.. He was eating a sandwich with me.

And waiting on his drink of Coke.

Actually Squeaks cage is wooden and hardware cloth. The platform from food/water to sleep quarters has a ramp.

He will come down from sleeping to eat and drink then jump down to his living area. I have to help him get back up on food/water platform or else he will "attempt" to fly back up. He has such short legs and oversized wings that he is handicapped... He is out of his cage so much that once he gets diapers he will free range more. ( when hubby's at work)
