Forgive my spelling, but I think this is what I received from Mcmurrey hatchery as a "bonus" when I ordered my 25 cornish x. The bird is black with a shimmer of green in the end of her feathers and looks like her breast has a few tan feathers. Any ideas? [IMG]

Post a pic for positive ID. But sounds like a black sex link maybe. A true australorp would have no tan feathers.

I am thinking that my australorp had some tan feathers as a chick but I am not sure, she is pure black with the green shimmer now.

Here is a trio of my Black Australorps. Nice green sheen, but no red on their breast. That sounds like a Black-sex Link to me.
