Howdy, chicken peeps!
I ordered 3 female LSEs from Meyer with fingers and toes crossed that I'd get a red one for my Golden Buff who needs a red friend. I got one! Woohoo! Score! Phew! (Their Golden Buffs are sold out until like 2082. Just kidding, I needed to grow one out sooner than September.)
My main question is... one of the chicks has not developed a crest. Does that mean it's a little roo? I've been burnt by the Meyer sexer before and although the description "says" they're autosexed, they don't say how they're autosexable. So I'm suspicious. Lol
I'm so curious what your experience is with the breed. And if you have photos of your LSEs, please please post, I'd so love to see them! Thank you!
