Does partridge patterning work the same as barring to create sexlink?

It's not the same as barring, which is on the Z chromosome, and dominant (barred ZW female gives barred Z to add to male non-barred (either) ZZ, creating Zbarred dominant Z rooster color males. Females will be dad's non barred Z with mom's non barred W.

You'd look at the base color of the partridge, which can be red or brown. Secondary coloring, and characteristics, create the partridge stippling (if any).

My experience is Lavender is diluted black, primary base color, which is dominant, so offspring will be black tones.

I think you're simply going to get black based chicks, some diluted, with possible secondary partridge color bleed through, both sexes.

I'll run the gene calculator to see if I'm right. (Just did...and yep I'm right...black primary base chicks, both colors).

I’m never sure if I’m using the calculator right if the breed isn’t blatantly obvious, but thanks for all your knowledge!!
