Does she look like shes getting close?

Best close up pic I could get of one of my 15 week old red sex links. Comb is changing I think. Do you think she's looking close to laying? They all look roughly the same..opinions please and pics of what yours looked like at point of lay if you have them.

Mmm, not quite yet IMO. Should be a little redder and plumper before they start laying.

no Need to start a daily egg check for another 5 weeks. Maybe even 9 Weeks . My rule of thumb: wait until you are sure that you have lemons. Then check every day and stress that they will NEVER lay an egg. Then give up and resign the fact that you did get lemons. Then stop Checking and find an egg. Check the calendar and realize that it’s exactly in the window they were supposed to start laying.

My Golden Comets started at 16.5 weeks and last to lay at 19 weeks.
This is my first to lay right after she came out of coop. . This is all 5, three days later. Two are laying in this photo.

Notice the combs and wattles between them. Blonde was the last to lay, yup the girl on the right.
They will squat about a week and a half to 2 weeks before laying when you put your hand over them. GC

I dont think shes close yet. Heres one of my production blues at 19 weeks. Shes still not showing any signs of laying
