Ive heard alot of people tell me that adding black pepper to my chickens feed will jump-start there egg laying, some people swear by it so i was just wondering if any of yall have had results from it?

I've never tried it but, pardon the pun, you should take these tales with a grain of salt. I wouldn't bet on it. [IMG]

    No, it doesn't work.

    Cayenne pepper does though.

Sharp eyes 7L!!! I think that all this poster's posts are 'advertisements'. Interesting approach...isn't it?

To the OP.... there are a lot of people that do subscribe to the old wives' tale about pepper--- Black, red, or white. What would happen if you gave it a try, and posted back? There are several threads where people have posted their anecdotal experience with pepper. ;O). It won't harm your chickens.
