Does this look like my bird?

    I was in Tractor Supply yesterday and while I was checking out I saw the December issue of GRIT Magazine. The rooster on the cover caught my eye because he looks a lot like a mix rooster I have. What do you think? Does he look like my rooster?

    Thanks. I am just curious. Is the bird in the magazine picture an actual breed, or just a mix like mine?

    The differences I see include the barring on your bird's tail feathers and the earlobe colors.

    I have no idea. I bred a BBR American Game (AG) rooster to several different AG hens (i.e. BBR, Wheaten, BBB, Buttermilk,) this last year and he came out. He looks nothing like any of the of roosters that came out of the breeding. I would get rid of him, but my wife loves his coloring.
