Our 1 year old dog named Hazel Grace got a little too close to our mother hen and her chick. Mouse ended up attacking her and scared her off but didn't actually leave any marks on her.
I was out there working/training with Hazel Grace around the chickens so I guess that could be part of the lesson? Either way, I'm a little proud of our hen for showing her what will happen if she gets too close. This was the first time that she's been attacked by a hen, which is why I'm not mad at Mouse for attacking her.

Oh no poor pooch! Hopefully it will help teach her to have a healthy respect for chickens..especially hormonal broodies lol
We're still working on it. Since we own both her parents, we've had her since she was born. Ever since she was 4 weeks old, she's always been too curious around the chickens. I'm hoping she'll eventually be like her parents who can be out there guarding the flock. It's funny because her dad has always been chill around the flock while it took her mother until winter 2019 to finally calm down and just lay around while flock free ranged

What a cute pup! Glad she's ok. Sometimes it just takes them to calm down a bit about everthing. My now 1 year old Yorkie is still very puppy like and jumps all up in my (6yr old) Maltipoo, Teddy's, face lol
