My husband will be building a large chicken tractor with a proper coop and he may have it done before my chickens are large enough to go outdoors. Not sure how many chickens will be in there initially since we are hatching eggs. We are going to use a large dog run as a temporary tractor. The new tractor will be large enough to pull with our lawn tractor. Will a large dog house be sufficient for the meantime? I figured that the dog run will still be great for separating sick chickens or broody hens.
