Whenever I get the rare dirty egg I put it aside to go with the dogs supper. Or, if the dogs happen to be outside when I collect it, I give it to them to play with. I've always been amazed at our two dogs. We've watched them play with an egg for more than 30 minutes without breaking it. German shepherds may have an impressive mouthful of Grrrrrs (as we call them) but they also have incredible control of their bite pressure. Anyhow, tonight I got soft shelled egg from one of my silkies. When I came back up to the house from the coops the boys were waiting for me at the gate. I reached in my egg basket for a normal egg for Jax, but couldn't resist having a little fun with Kane. I carefully handed him the soft shelled egg. He took it gently, as usual, but it was all in vain. The egg immediately popped in his mouth, leaving his muzzle covered in egg. The look on his face was priceless! I'm mean and I know it.
