Hey everyone,
I've had the unfortunate circumstance of a pigeon I acquired spreading feather lice to my four doves and I can't seem to find any treatments on Amazon or in my area specifically for pigeons/doves.. but I did discover a local feed store carries a lice spray called Doktor Doom Lice Spray for Poultry+. This stuff can apparently even be used around/on livestock so I'm concerned if it may be too strong for usage on pigeons & doves. You are supposed to be able to use it topically on chickens as well as spray areas they frequent.. the main active ingredient is Pymethrin(spelling?). Anyone use this for their pigeons and/or doves before? I was thinking it may be possible to just spray some on paper towel and then lightly treat under the wings and tail feathers.. anyway, any advice would be great because it's become an issue of concern for me now and I want to bring my birds some relief. Thanks, guys.
