    Radius squared times pie.

    2 feet (radius) x 2 feet (square) times 3.14 (pie) = 12 square feet.

12 square feet divide by 2 square feet per bird = 6 birds IF they only use the coop to sleep in.

Assuming average sized chickens, 3 chickens maximum, 2 preferred.

Would it be possible to make a 4x8 dome pen?

By definition, a "dome" is round.
There isn't a lot of USABLE space in any round top structure that small, and it's a LOT harder to build than squares or rectangles

Quote: You can build one like that any size you like, depending on what you use for the roof supports

Well I think I am gonna make 4x4s and house 2 hens in each one and rotate my roosters.
