Received these dominique eggs today in the mail. Do they really get this big? Or do I have some sort of surprise egg?

Quote:I disagree, I would incubate it. Sometimes eggs just have large shells are aren't double yolkers and hatch just fine, although this'n does look like a DB yolker. I have seen several people hatch out 1-2 chicks from a double yolker! It's pretty cool.

Hmmm, now I'm torn. I didn't even consider the double-yolk idea. I was thinking some other kind of egg got mixed in, like a duck or something.

Quote:No, chickens some chickens do lay large eggs. I have a Golden Buff hen that lays X-Large eggs that look like double yolkers but they only have one yolk. I just it in the incubator with the other eggs and when you candle you'll know if it's a double yolker etc.
