My mom had to have radiation, not on her head, I'm sure that makes things more complicated, but it wasn't too bad, just had to watch out for burns, make sure nothing on the skin before treatment, baby the skin between treatments. The chemo made her sick but the radiation didn't seem to cause much trouble.

Did she get a nice tattoo to target the radiation?

Not really nice as she had rectal cancer so she had 3 dots, one in the middle of her lower stomach and one on each side. Not enough to even really notice unless you were looking for them and they covered them in sharpie to make them easier to find during treatment.
