DOSE ANYONE HENS BURY EGGS?

MY SISTER HENS ARE LAYING THIS IS THERE SECOUd week and they bury there eggs in the dirt we dig em up but were new to this any ideas why?
we have 4 Red sexlinks hens
4 black sexlinks hens
3 rhode island hen
there 5- six months old

More than likely they are laying them in their dirt bath area and than dirt is kicked over them when one takes a good scratch in the dirt.

Put some fake eggs in your nestboxes to draw your hens to lay in them instead of on the ground.

New layers are notorious for laying in odd areas, I'm sure they initially have no idea what is going on.
