Double stacking eggs in the 1588 Hovabator

Hey-
I have the 1588 Hovabators and was wondering about double stacking eggs for week until one of the other bators frees up.
I've put some eggs in to double stack and put a thermometer on the first stack and second and the temp reads the same.
Do you suppose it'll be okay to double stack just for a week?

so funny you asked that question, cause I got a little carried away ordering eggs and wondered the same thing. I have a genesis hova-bator and thought about your idea but luckily they all fit. I am still curious what your responsis will be? gosh , this hobbie is addicting! anyways, Best of Luck!

Well....the guy I'm hatching for said he'd give me 5 dozen....when I emptied the 5 gallon bucket there were 181 eggs in there. Can't let a good egg go unhatched, right? Oh, and then there are the 2 peafowl eggs I found in a friends barn today that were'nt there yesterday! So many eggs, so little incubators.

Yes you can do it but kinda hard to turn them. I have had 7 or 8 on top before but never a full layer!
