Dove visitors

I have a pair ( ?) of doves that have chosen our yard in the last month or so to hang out.

what can I do to encourage them to stick around? Or bring friends? they are beautiful and I really enjoy watching them.

I'd keep lots of food and water out, and I do not know if they like "homemade nests' or not?

We tried the same thing last year and they would stay around for about a week and be gone for a while and a couple weeks later they would come back. Kinda hit ir miss but they sure were pertty!
