So, from the 6 my silkie mama started with, we are now down to 3....after I cracked one last night cleaning her poopie butt since she won't get off the nest. I checked the one I broke, and it was a messed up yolk, but no chickie was formed....which is both good because I didn't kill a chickie, but bad because I have no idea if the other 3 are going to hatch. This is so frustrating. Saturday is day 20...so I guess it won't be too much longer before I know if my endeavor has been a complete failure. I would be happy with 1 little biddy hatching at this point. But I'm worried.
