I wish he would discuss the pros and cons over other LSGD

I think Maremmas are the most common/popular livestock guardian breed in Aussie. They're even used to guard a penguin colony that had almost been wiped out:

Here they are very rare and Anatolian Shepherds are the only other LSGD available I think. I've seen Anatolians before at a farm park and they seem slightly more common, though we don't have the wildlife to really require LSGD. Other people's straying dogs are probably the biggest threat here.
