Yesterday I processed my two evil drakes.
I tried to "train" them to be nice but nothing worked.

Just thought I would let you people who were following my thread about "homicidal drakes"

Is it true that duck meat is really wonderful skinned? I don't think I have ever had duck [IMG]

No matter - enjoy - somehow you just feel better about them being dinner instead of homicidal [IMG]

Probably in a stew that I found in a book.

or saute the meat with onions and garlic [IMG]

Hens_And_Chicks I let you know how it tastes, I have only eaten the wild ducks that I have shot, so I doubt there will be a "gamey" taste.

I'm making my husband read your thread since he suggested getting rid of the evil roosters and getting a couple drakes!!!

Quote:We were trying to keep the skin, but dry plucking DUCKS is VERY hard. so we spent an hour or so trying to get the feathers off, in the cold rain, so we just kinda were like tired so we skinned them and got as much meat as possible [IMG]
