So my mother and I got three Indian Runner Ducks back in March. All three turned out to be drakes. We do not want to get more ducks and we also do not want to get rid of our current ducks if possible. They have shown no signs of aggression thus far. Will they fight when they get older even with no females present? If so, what is the best way to solve this problem? Thanks in advance for your help.

Thanks @Miss Lydia !

They might fight when they get older, but since everything’s good right now, I’d cross that bridge when we get to it.
My runners are pretty good together, they fight with my pekins, but usually not amongst themselves. At pool time there’s a little aggression, today I separated Brendan, so bill could have his own pool time.
Next year your boys may have issues, but you can always separate them if need be. Since they’re hatch mates that helps.

So enjoy those runners and their antics! I love my runners, such fun silly birds!

I love mine too and am starting a new adventure with having 2 Runner drakes one 3 yrs the other a new hatchling from this year. I have no idea how this is going to work out just taking it a day at a time for now since the baby is just 5 weeks old. Thanks @thumper650 you always have such good advise. Thankfully my Muscovy drake has no interest what so ever in my Runners or Buffs.

I've got 3 runner drakes. One not quite a year old with 3 old girls and 2 baby boys with 5 girls. I've got the older drake with 3 old girls separate because I don't want him raping and pillaging the young ones. The other 5 girls are all together with the 2 baby boys and it's ok so far. "So far" being the key words.

I too love all 3 of my drakes and it would be awful to have to get rid of one. I'll build a new run and pen if I have to unless one turns out to be an idiot. I've got the room but it sure would be nice not to have to.
