Drake?

I don't know a thing about sexing White Crested ducks and could use your help. He/she "laughs" like a sarcastic old man and if any of you have seen comedian Jeff Dunham all I can tell you is that it sounds just like Walter.

He/she is 12 weeks old and below is a picture that will hopefully help.

I'm thinking she's a girl because usually the laughing quack comes from the females. If she is a boy, then he would be sprouting a drake feather, soon.

Oh, I hope so. I will love Pink just the same but I'd love eggs. BTW, as I am new to this at what age would I expect to see them begin to lay?

They will lay normaly 4-5 months. You can really tell male from female by the quack. If it actually quacks its a girl. If it sounds raspy and low its a male

I'll bet you a donut that the feathers on the tail that curve up a bit are going to turn into a big drakey curl

I watched ones just like that on Bessie, Gertie and Lucille...
as they became Bennie, Bertie and Luke

You know what's funny about the quack thing is that Ping quakes all the time but my female chocolate runner barley ever makes any noise. To be honest I don't know that I've ever heard her truly quack.
