    Does anyone else want to share some pictures of drakes comparing their eclipse and nuptial plumage variations?

    I believe its usually annually. It takes them a couple months or so to go thru the whole process.

    I told my husband yesterday that I bet he couldn't walk outside and pick out Jax, since he looks so different now. :D

    Good thread idea. My Snowy drake is just about done his moult into eclipse plumage. He looks quite funny.

    This thread has prompted me to look on Amazon for some poultry leg bands. Which then prompted me to look in my garage at the 100's of colored zip ties that I already own for free. Thanks!
