drooling?

    i was watching one of my RIR hens and all of a sunnen there was drool coming out of her mouth!!! whats this mean? shes like 8 years old..... [​IMG]

    mine does that after drinking. it looks like slime. i dont know what it is

    is any of them debeaked? if its a problem all I can say is thank god they are seperated. My 4 sex links are debeaked. I did not see a problem until a few days ago

    ok. mine where debeaked by a hatchery not by me. I could never do that.

    If they have just been drinking and you pick them up, you can accidentally squeeze water from their crop. I have seen my birds drool every one in awhile and I'm pretty sure it doesn't mean anything. Everyone drools every once in a while.

    I had noticed a puddle of warm water near the waterer...it was warm and their waterer was cold, so I was sure someone just drooled. I was concerned too and came looking for info. But now that I read it, I had just picked someone up AT the waterer - so makes sense that it was drooled after I picked them up. phew.
