ok...i have a maytag dryer and for whatever reason..its not working!
the odd thing is that when you press the start button, the moisture sensor light comes on while you are holding the button down. what could be wrong?
anything i can do? my laundry is piling up big time. [IMG]

could the sensor have wet lint on it? Have you had it cleaned really good lately?

its this light up thingie on the front..it tells you if your clothes are damp or not. [IMG] very gimmicky, in my opinon.
its a maytag quiet plus dryer.

check to make sure the door sensor or whatever it is called is clear. it should be on the door--maybe a small piece sticking out.

it is..its just a piece of crap!

i ought to set it on fire.

i mean, it worked great until it stopped working at all. we were supposed ([IMG]) to drop it off to be repaired this morning but it didnt happen, so hopefully tomorrow it will.

Have your hubby put you up a clothes line......doesn't quit on you and it's cheaper too! [IMG]

Bet anything it's the sensor or the door switch...one of the two...and you could probably replace both at home for very little just to *try* to save yourselves the hassle of having to load it up and drop it off somewhere. Not to mention saving yourselves the repair bill.....

I'd probably start with the door switch and go from there.. If that doesn't fix it, try the moisture sensor thingy..
