DS just came flying into our bedroom, where we were watching TV. He was sweaty and out of breath.

Guess the bear that has been in the neighborhood decided to make a visit to our place.

*Heading to coops to check the locks and make sure feed is all put up*

Think he has a new found repect for wildlife...lol

    Yikes! [IMG]

They have reintroduced them into the Big Thicket(where I live) and I sure hope I never have an encounter like that!

DD and I had been doing chores about an hour ago and the ducks were on the pond and raising holy heck. They were swimming in circles quacking their fool heads off. We figured that they had sensed a fox or coyote in the area.

We heard some twigs breaking up the mountain a ways and figured deer.

I am now guessing that what we heard was the bear walking through and maybe had come down to the pond to get a drink and thats what the ducks were flipping out over.

I admit that it makes me a bit nervous...

A couple days ago one of our resident bears came and took down my peach tree. First time in 6 years I've had fruit on that tree and he snapped that trunk in half and sat blissfully chewing, peach juice dripping off his chin. Then the deer came along and hoovered off all the leaves. I confess, I opened the window and yelled at the bear [IMG]

I'm scared! [IMG] I don't like the thought of a bear near me.

Inquiring minds want to know, just what do you yell at a bear that is eating your favorite tree?
