I use a hoop coop. Here is some instructions
    https://www.backyardchickens.com/a/our-hoop-coops

Mine measures 6' x 12' (I used three cattle panels). The cattle panels are covered with chicken wire. I made a section in the back about 2-1/2 feet deep that is also fenced off with a door in the center. I put straw bales in front of that section so it gets multi purpose use: A confinement area when I have to separate a bird for reasons of injury or illness. The door is kept open for them to use it as a laying box or to get away from wind and drafts. The remaining 9 feet is where they mainly like to sleep at night. The entry door has a lock on top and bottom for protection (but I also have electric net around the house too). The tarp extends from the back to the front and criss-cross tied down with bailing twine so that heavy winds can't tear it. The very front (door and each side of it) is completely open but does not face prevailing winds.

Wish I had a picture but no longer have a camera and don't own a cell phone. But the link above can give you a good idea.
