In the Brooder
Two eggs were in the coop this morning, and are now gone! There is NO sign of broken shell anywhere.
The coop has no openings and sits on pavement so nothing can burrow. The eggs were in the upper closed part of the coop, which requires the ducks to go up TWO ramps.
Could a snake seriously be getting to them? It is also winter here with about a 2 foot snow, so are snakes even alive right now?
Do ducks eat their eggs? Including the shell? I have two females, a Pekin and a mallard. I am not sure who is laying.
