Hi! I weirdly inherited fertilized duck eggs, long story short 3 hatched and now they're 7 weeks old. Any ideas about breed and gender? Here they are at 1 week and just a day ago. They are all from the same clutch of eggs. One has wry neck that we're treating.

Hello! They're gorgeous! I'm afraid I'm not sure on breed, they have mallard or rouen like markings on them, except they seem too dark for that to me? but hopefully someone else can help with that.

I'd recommend that for figuring out their genders

And later on boys will get curly tails and usually green heads, they're pretty distinctly different, but by voice is the earliest way I know other than vent sexing.

Awesome, i will check that out. Yeah they are a weird mix of something i think... they looked so mallard-y when they were born but look very different now.
