SILVER APPLEYARD: $4.00/egg Available 1/20/13

Our breeding stock was collected from Holderreads as well as 3 other private breeders over the last 2 years.
We cull heavily to achieve a flock that conforms visually to the SOP as well as good natural foragers.
This flock is raised for meat and show and pets. We expect good egg production from them as well.

Our fertility rates are 96-100% through out the year, we average 200 eggs per duck per year.
Our male to female ratio runs 1:3 or 1:4 depending on the time of the year and growing out.

KHAKI CAMPBELL: $3.00/egg Limited Availability as of 1/20/13
Our breeding flock of Khaki's has been growing for 3 years now. We started off with hatchery birds, and then started collecting new stock and hatching eggs from private breeders. We have continued to focus on egg production and foraging traits first with these ducks. The last year has had additional focus on SOP for the breed as well, culling down to those birds who come closest and still retain the purpose of egg laying well.

Fertility with this flock has been 98% or better all fall while we have been setting and incubating their eggs.
Egg production is routinely 300 eggs a year with quick recovery from molts.

Drake to Duck ratio is currently 1:3

  • Our ducks are raised on open pasture daily, fed Mazuri waterfowl feed and fermented whole grains.
  • We keep each flock we raise separated day and night to be sure of no cross breeding ever.
  • Eggs are collected morning and night, held in turners until time to be packed and shipped out.
  • We collect eggs for orders once payment is made selecting the best and freshest for shipping.

  • We can not guarantee your hatch rates with shipped eggs.
  • Here on the farm we average 98-100% hatch rates.
  • We will pack the eggs as we want to receive them.
  • Each egg is wrapped in bubble wrap, and set pointy end down in the box.
  • We pad around each egg using additional bubble wrap, packing peanuts or newspaper.
  • On small orders you will find your eggs are packed inside an inner box which is padded from the outer box, we feel this offer additional protection.
  • Once they are dropped off at the PO, we can not control how they treat the box, but we will pack as securely as possible.

As with any hatching egg purchase you are accepting the risk of shipping eggs. We do everything we can to pack eggs securely for travel.

If you look above there are shipping rates listed, this right from the top line of this ad

I tried again and it showed $30 to ship 6 khakis and 6 silver eggs. Then tried it with a dozen silver appleyard eggs and shipping showed $20. I went ahead and ordered anyway. Just wanted to let u know.

when buying from our ads here you need to PM the order so we can adjust shipping. We did get the order for the SA eggs and will start your order today for collecting. Did you want a split order between the two breeds or all SA?
